Published is Published, Right?
On Thursday, June 29, I received a phone call from the KW Record informing me that they wanted to run an article I had submitted to them in their Second Opinion column (see Oh Canada post below). It was a pretty cool call to get. The article ran in the Tuesday, July 5 paper (with minor edits to make it fit to the after Canada Day theme).
Now if only I would receive a call from a publishing company telling me they'd like to publish one of my novels (smile).
Oh well. I guess I have to start somewhere. Published is published, right?

No payment for the Record article. It was something that I sent in pretty much on a whim. It was quite a surprise when they wanted to use it. The second opinion column is open to opinions from anyone (doesn't mean their going to print it though), but is not one of their paying columns (unless I just got ripped off -wink). It would be really cool to get paid to write something some day. I guess I need to be more aggressive in my submissions and writing and then perhaps someday it might happen.
